The Department of Environmental, Food and Nutritional Scieces (DeFENS) integrates food, agricultural and environmental and nutritional sciences with the aim of preserving the environment, improving sustainable production systems and providing high quality products, to shield human health and life quality.
DeFENS is involved in National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) projects, such as AGRITECH. Moreover, DeFENS is involved in several national and international research projects and boasts a strong scientific production, with publications in indexed scientific journals.
